This homeowner wanted complete off-grid capabilities with both solar, backup batteries, and a natural gas generator, requiring specialized integration of the power systems and creative placement of added infrastructure. We carved out a section of this hillside away from the house and built a board-form concrete structure to both conceal the generator from view, and deflect sound upward away from the home and neighbors. Powder coated steel railing, hand dug trenching through a preserved lavender garden, and various underground utilities all performed by HPS.
