Open Plan Brightens Hale Home

The homeowners wanted to open the main level and make it one cohesive space. Once the living room walls were removed, the kitchen footprint was reconfigured and enlarged. The open floor plan allowed for a stream of natural light, a 12-foot center island, and plenty of extra cabinets and prep space. The kitchen nook was enlarged, and additional storage was included along the back and accented with a reclaimed wood wall. The floors were redone throughout the entire first floor to tie all the rooms together.

Finally, the master bathroom was upgraded from a powder room into a ¾ bathroom. The previous walk-in closet was removed to make room for the beautiful shower and double vanity. The second floor is now a true master suite.
