Horizontal planes ground this contemporary home which boasts amazing views of the Northern California hillside. Clean architectural design led to a minimalist lighting design using square aperture downlights as both general and accent light throughout the home. Uplights and hidden linear elements highlight architectural materials while carefully selected decorative fixtures create drama and visual interest. LED’s are used throughout the home to help reduce lighting loads. A lighting control system helps the owners to conserve energy by limiting maximum brightness and creates light scenes to provide minimal but comfortable illumination levels.
