This space was executed at the end of a major house expansion project for a couple who had been sweethearts since high school, she an artist and he a CEO with a penchant for collecting hot rods. So the space needed to serve very different but complimentary needs.
At the time their family was growing with kids and grandkids visiting regularly. We needed to provide a large outdoor entertainment space with a fire pit for evening outdoor gatherings and lots of parking for up to 8 vehicles. They asked me to design a space needing minimal care, as they were finished with spending the weekend in the garden.
