An extensive master bedroom suite addition with a complete green update to the existing residence, making the home more sustainable and economical in which to live. All new energy efficient windows, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems were installed, as well as a recycled, lifetime roofing system with a radiant barrier decreasing the life cycle costs and the monthly living costs of the residence. The rear exterior yard was transformed into a serene outdoor living space that reflected the client’s desire to minimize the footprint of the addition while capturing the outdoors as crucial living environment. Design measures were taken to reflect the existing Asian-inspired details of the 1940’s residence.
