Palm Estates Villa
Refined Design
Thoughtfully Evolved
Palm Estates Villa was not about starting over but about thoughtfully evolving a beloved family home. The clients had invested in the original design years earlier, and much of the villa already carried the essence of their life together. With their children now grown and living independently, they sought to adapt the home to reflect a new chapter—lighter, fresher, and more refined, while still deeply familiar.
Our approach centred on respect: retaining the bones of the home while carefully refining what was already there. Existing furniture was reupholstered, finishes were softened, and dark woods were replaced with lighter tones that allowed air and light to flow more freely. Textures were layered, accents rebalanced, and layouts adjusted to restore rhythm and harmony across spaces. The refresh gave the villa a renewed clarity without erasing its history, creating a home that felt both continuous with the past and attuned to the present. Though Studio SuCo rarely undertakes refresh projects, the client’s trust and the referral from a long-term collaborator made this one a natural fit.
Designer's Note
This project was an exercise in refinement rather than reinvention. The goal was not to strip away what existed, but to reveal its potential in a new light. This home carries years of memory, and our role was to respect that legacy while offering a sense of renewal. We treated every detail with care, from lightening palettes to rethinking function, always mindful that luxury is not defined by newness but by discernment. The result is a home that feels more open, more cohesive, and more attuned to the rhythm of their lives today. What made this project truly rewarding was the trust we shared with the clients, allowing us to guide their home into its next chapter with sensitivity and elegance.
