This project involved extending a portion of the concrete patio to facilitate a stairway to the new cedar deck, protected by a wood roof with asphalt shingles to match those of the existing home. We removed the windows from the dining area with french doors and two new windows. The custom metal rail system integrates nicely with the wood stairs. We also removed the old back stairs to the first floor and installed steps with a small landing.
