Seeing this finished space makes it hard to believe that it once was such close quarters around the island that you couldn’t pass by someone. The first thing on the agenda was to get rid of the pony wall that separated the living room from the kitchen since the base cabinets along the inside of the wall really disrupted the flow of traffic.
After years of plain white, flat paneled cabinetry the homeowners wanted the exact opposite, so we chose a door style that was dark and elaborate. To offset the traditional look of the cabinets, more modern finishes were used throughout. The smooth quartz countertop sits below a textured basket weave backsplash which adds unique dimension while not competing for attention.
The kitchen has transformed into a much more welcoming space that is both beautiful and functional.
