This kitchen is well thought out from beginning to end, and is definitely a chef's delight!
It was designed to maximize storage space and functionality for the clients who love to cook, entertain and stay organized! We made almost every base cabinet a bank of drawers to get the most out of the lower cabinets and to make finding things easy and accessible. As well, all of the wall sections are made symetrical and the twin islands also follow this theme to make the room balanced from every angle and overall, be more visually appealing.
The clients wanted a traditional style and that furniture look. We achieved this using large cove moulding and building the perimeter cabinets up to the ceiling. As well, the islands are capped with decorative legs and add-on doors to accomplish this look.
They wanted two tones in the for their colour scheme and we feel these two colours they chose worked beautifully together, with our caffe latte glaze on the perimeter cabinets and a custom sherry stain and glaze on the island cabinets. Doing the glaze on the wall cabinets gives it that brown detailing that ties it perfectly to the islands.
