This bright, functional, and extremely efficient house was featured in Maine Home + Design's 2014 Architectural Issue. It uses traditional forms and a contemporary layout with no wasted gestures. The owners will occupy it during the warm months and on sporadic weekends throughout the year, along with occasional visitors, children and grandchildren. It sits on a site that features a short path to the beach, sounds of the ocean, and views of the surrounding forest.
