Seeing the big picture.

The Plaza Hotel Studio in New York provided the perfect template for our interior design team. All we had to was inject flair and style to create a space that was neither too traditional nor too contemporary. When the project was complete, the door opened up onto a world class hotel studio that would appeal to a varied range of guests.

There was an additional element to this brief that made it altogether more exciting for the interior designer. The space needed to incorporate an extensive photo collection. In essence, our role was first to perfect the backdrop for the photography collection, before selecting, collating, framing, and hanging over one hundred monochrome shots of famous actors. At the same time, it was important to make the photography look natural in the context of the studio rather then garish. As a result, minimalist, natural frames were used to subtly merge the vintage shots into the more contemporary surroundings.

The rest of the studio was furnished timeless Bottega Veneta furniture and decorated in a neutral, but warm palette for universal appeal. The result is modern comfort with an eclectic edge provided by the photography and great place to spend time relaxing or working.
