This kitchen was already completely redone in 2006 so the layout was fine, but it needed a bit of a facelift. The cupboards were dated with an antique glaze and ornate moldings, the countertops were a very busy granite and the light fixtures over both the island and the kitchen table were also too ornate for our client's current taste. So after the moldings were completely removed, we sprayed the cabinets in Benjamin Moore's "Chantilly Lace", the island countertop was replaced with Caesarstone "Calacatta Nuvo" from their 2015 collection, the perimeter countertops were replaced with Caesarstone "Raven" and the backsplash was replaced with a stunning combination of both honed and polished marble called "Mud Mosaic Runway Salt Mix". The new polished nickel pendant lights and the polished nickel circular light fixture over the table are from different manufacturers but they match well together due to their similar styles and finishes. New contemporary leather parsons chairs were purchased for the table which replaced the previous ladder back chairs and finally a new, contemporary industrial style faucet was added which lends a more contemporary element to the space. The result is a bright, fresh kitchen that our clients love to cook and entertain in!
