We completely renovated this space by combining an outdated family room and kitchen to create a new, much larger kitchen with ample space for spacious dining and seating areas where my clients, both very busy professionals, can relax at the end of their day. They also now have lots of room at their dining table for every day dinners with their 3 children or larger gatherings as the table easily extends to sit 8 comfortably. This renovation consisted of adding a dark walnut stained island that houses their wine fridge and microwave, as well as custom off white cabinetry and Delicatus granite counter tops. We chose substantial stainless steel hardware for the cabinetry to give it a more contemporary feel. We also added beautiful new glass and chrome lighting, brand new stainless steel appliances, "greige" 12" x 24" tile flooring and a complimentary random tile back splash. For furniture, we purchased custom counter stools that compliment the stain on the island, a custom extendible dining table and chairs and comfortable but stunningly elegant occasional chairs. All 3 chair styles were chosen carefully to ensure the fabrics and style lines worked well together. The result is a spectacular kitchen where my clients can enjoy cooking (note the Barefoot Contessa cookbook!) and entertaining family and friends.
