Full renovation and addition to an existing single family ranch style home. The spaces were small and dark and to gain natural light we split and raised the roof along with vaulting the ceiling. Using a row of clerestory windows we were able to capture a lot of natural light.
The rear yard is also a nice feature of the lot so we made sure to make an easy connection to the back yard with a very large glass pocket door. This allows for an extra wide unobstructed opening to the new back patio.
