Local artist and busy mother designed and created her own backsplash tile for farmhouse/contemporary kitchen. Tile was fired in her garage kiln and designed to match the mudroom/entryway/half bath cement tile from Central America. Bold geometric design is contrasted against nature-based paintings of chickens, butterflies, and other creatures. Countertops are soapstone and marble quarried in New England. All kitchen cabinets are IKEA. Half bath and pantry have pocket doors. Entryway mudroom has shelf space, a tall closet and hooks for coats.
