Homeowners had a small office next to the kitchen. While the office was being used daily, there were other rooms in the home that rarely were used making it easy to move the office to another location. Moving the office allowed the kitchen to open up into a large area for entertaining and enjoying everyone for large family gatherings. The old cabinetry was inconvenient and difficult to use. The cooktop was located in a peninsula and did not give the homeowner enough room to function. The old family room was dark and unwelcoming. The entire area was opened up to allow a bright, functional and useable space. The laundry room off the kitchen was redesigned to allow for significantly more storage plus a small mud room bench and utility storage.
The hardwood flooring was removed and replaced with an LVT. There were new window treatments done throughout the first floor.
