Project Acacia

Project Acacia was an extensive remodel of a small bungalow in the LA South Bay area. A second story was added and size was increased from 2-1 (800 sq ft) to 4-4 (2500 sq ft). The style is best described as "modern farmhouse" with industrial features. The exterior is Hardy board in a batt-on-board format. The roof is standing seam steel. The home is fully air sealed using closed cell spray foam with additional fiberglass batting. Since the climate is mild no air condition was employed. The heating is via hydronic radiant coils in 1.5 inches of lightweight concrete throughout the home. Landscaping is drought tolerant with drip system irrigation. The architect on the project was Dominique Lobjois.
