Bamboo planted years ago - likely sometime in the 70's - seemed like a good idea at the time. But it all needed to come out after it was found running rampant and wreaking havoc, popping up everywhere. In order to do the bamboo remediation, the patio and all the hardscape first needed to be removed. The new owners happened to find the original set of plans for the house and garden crammed in the back of a closet. Lo and behold: the house and garden were designed by the illustrious Robert Royston and Garret Eckbo! Paying homage and with the utmost respect, we rebuilt exactly how it was originally conceptualized paying careful attention to even the smallest detail and material choice.
