After losing her wife the year before, our client was finally ready to tackle the backyard project. The entire backyard was a giant cracked concrete slab with one scraggly lemon tree. The design criteria: to create a space that invites in nature in and encourages sensory exploration. It also needs to functioning as a space for tai chi and mediation. Our client was so happy with the final product that she actually weeped with joy. That once neglected lemon tree is now thriving and is a huge producer.
