CHALLENGE
Los Angeles has height restrictions, so to design a bright four-story house, we resorted to an inventive solution – we placed it in a cascade on a sloping mountain slope.
A pit was dug to allow daylight to penetrate even the lower level.
Each of the tiers has its own recreation areas: from shady niches to a large outdoor pool and a roof terrace.
