The House Hotel on Reitarska is a bridge between Kyiv’s modernism in the era of Abraham Miletsky and the city’s post-Soviet decline. It is where the history of the new Ukraine intersects with the stories of those who will live here for part of their journey.

The artistry of clay pervades the very essence of this space, enveloping the walls in a mesmerizing embrace. It morphs and contorts into the shape of a billowing cloud, assuming the form of amulet animals that serve as a bridge between the past and the future. In essence, clay serves as the connective tissue that binds yesterday and tomorrow, infusing this space with a timeless and sophisticated aura.

By integrating a theatrical element into the design, MAKHNO Studio has created a dynamic and ever-changing space that stimulates the imagination and invites exploration. KYIV MODERN STYLE
The oval shapes throughout the design reflect the classic silhouettes of the Kyiv modern style while conveying a sense of innovation and modernity. The repetition of these forms imbues the space with a sense of harmony and balance, while the use of clean lines and minimalist detailing lends a contemporary feel to the overall aesthetic.
ROOMS
