One way to create flower beds or vegetables gardens to create a raised bed using timbers that help elevate plants above grade. Not only is it a cool look, but have many practical benefits such as keeping the pathway weeds out, as well as pests like slugs and snails. The soil also is less prone to compact which keeps it healthier for use over the years.

This project included tearing out and creating new beds with edging along the house, a boulder retaining wall for the raised bed area, and the raised beds themselves.
