For this project we were tasked with re-working a wall that a previous Audio Video Installer had poorly designed. The speakers were placed 6' off the ground effectively shooting sound right over the clients heads. The TV was too high for comfortable viewing and the single subwoofer was straining to keep up in the large space. Add to that the hard surfaces in the room and it wasn't hard to see why it needed help. We wanted to create something that would help make the house better. A modern simple wall with clean lines and good lighting that would hide all the gear, lower the TV and speakers and put everything in the right talc while offering additional seating when you just wanted to talk. By employing an acoustic panel system from our friends at Cinematech we were able to create a stunning transformation. Rather than 10 little grills on the wall at seemingly random intervals all you see is the TV. The sound is greatly improved with tuning and care to aim and place the speakers correctly. Who says you can't have good looks and great sound without seeing a speaker?
