For this project we took a third story office and converted it to a precision high end theater with attitude. During the design process after most items were chosen the client expressed a desire for Disney Blue. Not wanting to completely re-work the design we settled on columns of light with color changing LED's. This is now a common theater lighting technique but at the time LED's were very few and very expensive to do. We successfully employed them along with a rubber underlayment to reduce noise in the Master Bedroom nearby downstairs. Every speaker has a cabinet and was installed prior to drywall. The CAT speaker system was hand tuned by CAT engineers once the system and acoustic panels were completely installed. The overflow seating at the back bar allows up to 11 to enjoy the room at once. I have since gone back and re-worked the control system on this room and have even taught the new home owners how it all works. Our rooms are designed to stand the test of time and be true performers adding to the value of the house not detracting. This turned out to be one of my all time favorite rooms.
