Our clients aspired for an open-concept, updated space that would accommodate their family and friends, but were limited by their first floor layout.

Our Design Solution
We proposed a design solution that would maximize the home’s square footage by rearranging the existing rooms. At the back of the home, the former dining room and office space were transformed into a spacious kitchen and new mudroom with garage access. The old kitchen location gave way to the formal dining room with improved sightlines into the adjacent rooms.

The overall design was inspired by a transitional style, providing a mixture of contemporary and traditional elements. Moreover, quartz countertops, elegant lighting fixtures, and contrasting white and dark wood cabinets were selected to create the polished kitchen design while traditional elements were called out with a gable roof and white trim. A large kitchen island, with semi-circular bar top, was also designed custom for the space, creating the perfect place for entertaining.
