Our team designed the deck specifically for this home and the client's wishes. This new balcony/deck is a functional new way to interact with the home. The staircase access allows a greater ability for use of the backyard as well as an additional fire safety route.

There was a previous balcony here. We removed it, and kept the metal beams that were already installed. Our new design will add a staircase.

This photo is mid -project. The frame is connected to the existing and new support beams. The beginnings of a staircase connects to the area dug out for the concrete pad.

This photo shows after the concrete pad had settled, the framing for the staircase was further along and we had begun setting the decking flooring and concrete decorative retaining wall.
