Residence for an Artist
FORMA designed the complete renovation of this duplex apartment in a 1970's row of townhouses. The owner, an artist, needed a space to display his work when not at a gallery show, and liked simple, uncluttered surroundings throughout. FORMA designed custom furniture and area rugs to compliment the space. The project was featured in The Washington Post (PDF 500KB) in February 2002 and in TRENDS magazine in July of 2002, as well as in DC/AIA magazine in the summer of 2002, in Syntheseis magazine in March 2004, Renovation Style magazine in the Fall of 2004, on HGTV's "Small Space, Big Style" in the winter of 2006, and in the book “The Artful Home” by Toni Sikes, published in the Fall of 2007.
