We all have our own checklists and list of non-negotiables when buying a home. If you’re lucky, you find The One after touring a few properties. But especially these days, it may take a few months before you find exactly what you need.

My clients were an older couple who’d been trying to find a home for the longest time. After failing to find one that met their needs, they decided to get in touch with me to help them build their new home, instead. The main thing they wanted for their home was to have two master bedrooms on the first floor. The couple wanted to age in place and have different sleeping times and habits, so they decided they each needed their own space.

Their kitchen is spacious and bright, with gorgeous full quartzite slabs as backsplash. The veining of the stone slabs is reminiscent of the mountain landscapes of many Asian paintings, which pays homage to where they are from. The bedrooms are still a work in progress, but each room shows their personality and taste with curated furnishings to ensure their comfort.

My clients were so happy with their new home! After months of being frustrated because they couldn’t find the home of their dreams, they finally get to relax and treat themselves to a home where they can simply enjoy themselves.
