The largest challenge of this project was incorporating the client’s long wish list into a property where the house footprint had been maximized to setback lines, leaving little usable space on this sloping lot.
With steep dropoffs, looming shoreline, and no level playing or entertaining space, our client was afraid to let her 18-month old child out into the yard. Our task was to provide a complete master plan for the property including re-structuring retaining walls, creating an entry courtyard and gardens, a new deck, a flat play area, and access to and improvement of the shoreline.
The new stone patio, outcrop stone walls, diverse plannings at the front door create a welcoming entrance, inviting neighbors to visit, enjoy the garden and one another.
