Roger's Remodel
This Norfolk, VA remodel is near and dear to my heart as this is my own father's house.
My Father-Roger loves to cook and put on a show doing so. He also loves to prepare meals with his daughters therefore he needed extra countertop space. So naturally he hired DBE to renovate his home to create an open concept plan, perfect for entertaining his large family.
With the mechanical closet, walls, and the odd base cabinet removed, the space was now wide open. We added a new peninsula with additional storage and counter top space to increase functionality. A 6' long raised waterfall bar top made from Walnut was installed for casual seating.
The cabinets on the window wall all stayed the same but we added a Zephyr Wine Preserve and a tray base cabinet to the end of the run, increasing countertop prep space and storage.
New Cairo granite tops were installed throughout the kitchen and paired with a black double bowl undermount sink and high arc commercial faucet.
The existing pantry cabinet was outfitted with custom roll out shelves to increase accessibility. We switched out all of the hardware on the cabinets for matte black modern pieces.
This project was a true labor of love to give back to the man who gave me everything, Roger Stephenson. My father works so hard and deserves a peaceful place to come home to relax when he is not working hard to protect the lives of others.
