Rustic Hunting Lodge Remodel

We recently finished working on a very unique property owned by a past client. When the structure was built in the early 90’s it was state-of-the-art. Geothermal, fiber optic lights, in floor heat, and lighting control were just some of the cutting-edge technologies the cabin had. The previous owners left the ‘lodge’ vacant for 8 years. Time took a toll on the property; mice began to move in, the mechanical systems failed. The structure didn’t age well and was in need of major renovation. The new owners purchased the now “distressed” property.

Our first priority before beginning the remodel was to restore the 20-year-old geothermal system to working order. With the help of Massmann Geothermal & Mechanical, LLC we were able to re-engineer the system and install all new mechanicals, which now function much better and is much more energy efficient. We were able to utilize the existing loop field, but all new mechanical parts were needed. As our team worked through the mechanical updates we began planning for a large-scale renovation.

The owners had many goals for the hunting lodge remodel, including: rearranging unusable spaces, building a new detached garage, adding a second floor suite (for a total of 2 owners suites), adding a home theater, crafting a cigar lounge, updating the kitchen, adding a hunting room, building a 4 season porch, re-building the rotted deck area, new lighting systems, security, and much more!
