This intricately handcrafted bench is inspired by traditional Shaker chair design, with a nod towards shared Asian and Shaker aesthetics. The spindles and posts are hand turned walnut, assembled with traditional mortise and tenon joinery. The ornamental pattern of the curly maple back splats adds a stylish focal point to this distinctive piece.

The lattice work rack below is perfect for storage of shoes or other sundries.

The wood is finished with environmentally-friendly Danish Oil and beeswax.

The seat is hand woven American manufactured 5/8" black canvas Shaker tape in a herringbone pattern.

As every bench is individually crafted, each will be unique in wood grain pattern and small color variation.
