To make this space more functional, we moved the cooktop off the island to make the island more functional as a sit-down space. The goal was to create a kitchen that was still functional to cook in while still being the ideal space to entertain their family and friends.

We relocated the range to a previously unused desk space on the kitchen perimeter. This created a space that was now functional and still conveniently close to the new farmhouse kitchen sink, making for an easy cooking area. The oversized island became a valuable open area for cooking prep that features undercounter cabinet storage and a wine fridge.

Bellmont Shaker style cabinetry was used in a custom 3-color layout. The island cabinetry is finished in Peppercorn stain, the perimeter bases are Silverplate paint and the dramatically stacked uppers are done in White paint, with top glass doors featuring cabinet lighting. These finishes tie in with the colors of the beautiful Fantasy Brown granite countertops and the stunning look is completed with a full height matte white subway tile backsplash. Also featured are refinished oak hardwoods showcasing a rich custom stain, fresh wall paint colors, and undercabinet lighting.
