This residential kitchen refurbishment in Wimbledon demonstrates the power of a high specification cosmetic and functional upgrade within an existing footprint. A key priority of the project was executing essential corrective building work around the existing Velux roof windows. The previous builders had replaced the windows but left the surrounding plasterwork unfinished. Our team meticulously made good the ceiling structure, restoring a flawless flush finish around the glazing to allow natural light to flood the new kitchen properly.
The cabinetry was completely updated using the timeless white Frome porcelain shaker range from Howdens. While maintaining the original footprint, we vastly improved the kitchen functionality by seamlessly integrating a full suite of modern appliances, including a hidden washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher. We also successfully reconfigured the refrigeration zone, upgrading the previous small integrated unit to accommodate a substantial freestanding American style fridge. Finished with a striking blue and white checker board style tiled splashback, this Wimbledon project perfectly proves how updating finishes and maximizing appliance integration can completely elevate a family home.
