This project was a lot of work in a small space. We had to fix the issues that were existing and causing problems which were, the leaky water main (which contributed to rotten floor joists) add ventilation to increase air flow under the floor and take care of the damp issues in the walls. We were then able to install steel beams to allow us to remove the chimney breasts. Install new floor joists with treated timber as well as insulate the whole ground floor using solid insulation. We cut out the existing window at the back of the house to open up the space to install new aluminium French doors and replace the remaining single glazed windows with new double glazed units. create a ground floor WC under the stairs. Fit the New Howdens kitchen and lay Dark Oak effect Dureco flooring throughout the whole of the ground floor. Decorating was carried out by the client
