This project involved designing a space on a property that literally bordered the Shenandoah National Park. The intent was to keep the rustic feel of the park while dealing with some steep terrain and taking advantage of the views of the Valley below. We actually had a survey crew to document the best views and used that information to locate the pool and surrounds. We then used materials that would give a rugged feel while still feeling 'comfy'. The result was a fun space that really fits the area.
