Such was the mandate of long-time collaborator and friend, architect David Yama, after completing a remodel to this 1960’s Berkeley home. He wanted the place staged to show his client how the right furnishings, art, and arrangement might bring out the architecture. Taking cues from two existing pieces – a fantastically bold, apple green couch and a painting by Berkeley-based artist Karen Smidth – and working with trusted vendors, the house was staged and photographed within a single weekend.
