A plant enthusiast couple who spends their time between Europe and South Florida owned a lake front, Live Oak filled home they bought in Coral Gables but felt the grounds needed a general landscape plan that would make them feel in the tropics. The landscape architect and the owners met continuously times during the design and implementation stages, the result being the tropical garden they wished for. Their one acre lakefront home is now home to many tropical plant species, walkways that link the different outdoor areas, a very intimate grotto and the pleasing daily discovery of new scents while listening to the subtle trickling of the water feature. They now own a relaxing refuge they can enjoy while in South Florida.
