A few notes: Guayavira is a rare exotic hardwood sometimes known as Brazilian Hickory, or Brazilian Pecan. As such, accessories of this material are not readily available. We had the nosing made up from flooring which we then sanded and finished in our shop to match the prefinished floor. The flush vents are made of Common Grade Black Walnut and are a good match to the floor. Finally, the homeowners chose Polo Plaz Weathered Oak stain on Red Oak veneer for the risers, not as a match, but as a complimentary colour that will match the Red Oak on the main floor, once it gets refinished.
