Featured on the 2013 Modern Homes Tour

This was an urban infill project in a south Austin enclave that we designed for a speculative builder and investor. The project involved a feasibility study and reworking the existing lot to accommodate a single-family home as well as a duplex. The structures were carefully built around a 200 year old Live Oak. Each residence was strategically positioned to offer privacy from the others while still being part of this small community.

The floor plans for each structure were different, yet designed with an open concept to bring in as much natural light as possible and utilize each square inch of space. Stucco, Cypress siding and steel were used to clad the exteriors. Finishes were sophisticated and sensible to ensure a healthy sale for the investor client.
