South Miami Beauty

Shear Construction built this amazing home in 2008. It is the Miami vacation home for an Italian family. They wanted the house to feel like an elegant tropical oasis. The main home consists of 7 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms. The guest house cabana has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The total square footage for both residences is 12,239.

Being that this is their Miami gateway we furnished the living room with two white leather sofas and accents in aqua blue evoking the ocean. A 6 foot custom bench adds extra seating in an elegant yet informal space. We continued the color scheme with the Thibaut fabrics in the curtains and pillows....

Oversized polished silver leaves were placed in the aqua nooks next to the fire-place to continue a tropical South Florida theme.

A green palm theme was used in the family room. Notice the unqiue green oriental rug and the handcrafted oversized wooden Taracea coffee table. It creates an informal relaxed room to enjoy Florida living. Custom sofas, chairs and curtains were used throughout the room.

There is a custom built bar to enjoy afternoon cocktails. Christopher Guy barstools add to the elegant, comfortable look.

We used an elegant Italian look for the formal dinning room. The table and chairs are by Theodore and Alexander. The focal point of the room is a beautiful Italian chandelier of Murano glass. We unified the room with whites and oranges that were used on the custom curtains, rug and accessories.

The monochromatic modern master bedroom was done in shades of white and gray. Italian furniture was used throughout. The white lacquered nightstands are by Hickory Chair.
