Structural Ground Floor Reconfiguration & High Spec Refurbishment | Streatham

This extensive ground floor transformation in Streatham highlights how strategic structural alterations can completely revolutionize the flow and energy efficiency of a traditional property. Our team executed the removal of multiple load bearing internal walls and reconfigured the original doorway placements, successfully eliminating a restrictive layout to unlock a vast, light-filled open plan living dynamic.

Every element of the infrastructure was modernised, including the installation of a premium dark herringbone pattern hardwood flooring running seamlessly across the entire ground floor footprint. The heart of the home features a sleek new modern Integra handleless kitchen from Magnet, expertly paired with premium quartz worktops. To support a busy household, we successfully reclaimed space to create a dedicated downstairs utility room and a matching contemporary downstairs WC.

To future-proof the property, our team retrofitted a high performance warm roof insulation system across the existing flat roofs, significantly boosting the energy efficiency of the home. The back wall was completely transformed by removing dated UPVC doors and structural masonry, replacing them with black aluminium bi-fold doors that bridge the indoor living area with the garden. The full transformation journey of this SW16 project, featuring multiple time-lapse videos capturing the advanced structural steel and installation phases, is documented extensively across our Ash Build social media pages and website.
