This charming ranch on the north fork of Long Island received a long overdo update. All the windows were replaced with more modern looking black framed Andersen windows. The front entry door and garage door, each with the a column of horizontal windows, create continuity along the front facade. Maibec shakes give the house a striking appearance against the scenic backdrop. The black gutters and leaders offer function without taking away from the clean look of the new makeover. The front entry was was finished with Timbertech decking and Viewrail railing so as not to detract from the clean lines. The rear deck was an important part of this remodel since it is on the water and where most of the entertaining happens. Utilizing Timbertech for its durability and beauty then incorporating Viewrail so the view would be unimpeded. The black lattice finished the rear deck without detracting from the clean lines of this deck that spans the back of the house. The Viewrail provides the safety barrier needed without interfering with the amazing view of the water.
