Spa Inspired Guest Bathroom
A dated and cramped 1970’s guest bath received a re-fresh to create a beautiful and serene space for our clients to recharge and relax in. A color palette of taupe and white, with accents of pale green, was chosen to create a fresh and bright interior — we used Dunn-Edwards paint for its superior quality. To create a sense of more space, our Pasadena firm removed a tall pony wall between the existing shower and tub, installed a wall-mounted custom vanity (with a quartz countertop from MSI) to create a more spacious feeling, selected light-colored finish materials, and designed a larger, custom mirror.
The mirror features sleek sconces from Hudson Valley. To provide more functionality, we specified a larger tub with a wider marble tub deck (from MSI), designed a vanity with more storage, and selected new contemporary flooring that was slip-resistant. The wall tile is from Sonoma Tile Makers, while the shower pan tile is from Artistic Tile. The plumbing and chic fixtures are from Newport Brass, and the neat window treatment is a trim from Kravet and Samuel and Sons.
Our contractor for the project, Waterford Construction, did a great job of helping us realize our vision. As a result of all of these thoughtful design choices, our client has added value to their home and can now enjoy a sense of well-being and relaxation in their home. Once completed, our project was photographed beautifully by Lauren Pressey.
Project designed by Pasadena interior design studio Soul Interiors Design. They serve Pasadena, San Marino, La Cañada Flintridge, Sierra Madre, Altadena, and surrounding areas.
