Spinners (RHS) Garden House
Spinners Gardens was granted planning permission under delegated powers by the New Forest National Park Authority in December 2010. It is one of only three RHS listed gardens in the New Forest and is open to the public all year round.
PAD have designed a contemporary, vernacular home which is rooted in it's site and will bring the garden into the home. The boundaries between inside and outside are broken down with the landscape becoming an outdoor room.
The new home will built with exceptionally high levels of insulation, air-tightness and triple glazed windows. The thermal mass of the ground floor construction will help to minimise fluctuations in temperature and beneficial solar gain will heat the main living spaces which are orientated to face south. Solar shading devices will prevent excessive solar gain.
