Splash Pad for a Common Downspout
This project had all the right elements come together to result in the highest garden quality. Frustrated with oversized balding shrubs at the front dining room window, the clients had MVR develop the schematic planting plan in second image. At first just a few rocks were to be placed, but after a palette of liftable flat stones were delivered to the site, MVR made a dry creek feature of them- during rainstorms, this feature will absorb all water collected in gutters and shot out from front downspouts. Whether such is a problem or not, dry creeks and related plantings are an irresistible sustainable garden measure for house owners, one in full view and featured at the front door.
