This plan shows the addition of a large family room to a home in Springfield. We transformed the underused garage into a full bathroom and laundry room, which simultaneously allowed a more functional storage room in place of the former garage.

Here is the finished interior space! The room has access to the kitchen and bathroom/laundry room, as well as entry from the driveway.

The room has large windows that allow a framed view of the owner's yard. The windows also let in an abundance of light for a bright space to relax in.

The room is connected to the kitchen and the bathroom/laundry room. A set of French pocket doors with glazed glass partitions the kitchen from the room. This opaque glass lets in plenty of sunlight to the kitchen while also allowing privacy should the doors be closed.

The bathroom features a pedestal sink and a large mirror with brushed nickle fixtures.

Some features in the shower include brushed nickel, marble shelves, and a personal handheld 7-function shower.

The final family room feels spacious and bright. We enjoyed working with the owner and hope she is thoroughly enjoying her new space!
