The rustic, board-formed, concrete structures and dry stacked stonewalls presented a variety of opportunities to introduce assorted textures and materials into the landscape. Some of which include the thermalled granite pool decking, the bluestone floating steppers leading into the lawn areas, the mortared bluestone rug inlay defining the covered dining area, and the cast in place candle light niches with granite stone ledges. The steel fence will become a vertical green wall for the pool as the vegetative growth continues.
The bridge connecting the property is constructed by a corten steel structural skeleton with IPE decking. The stream edges have been defined by natural boulders and dressed with native vegetation.
The disconnected sauna compliments the existing naturalistic background while aligning with the manicured landscape beds and yard through the use of vernacular, rustic materials.
