This backyard was blessed with a large healthy live oak, a small grove of redwood trees and two recently planted red-leafed Japanese maples. The rest of the yard consisted of a scruffy lawn with stepping stones leading from a dining patio to a small concrete sitting area. With the help of landscape contractor, Lou Penning, we were able to convert this yard to a cool, shady oasis with fountains, dining area, and sitting area
