Steller House

This new house was designed for a single retired man living on 40 acres, who has always dreamed of building a house on a small hill that has a view to the mountains. Each room will enjoy great views and connectivity to the outdoors thanks to an L-shaped plan.

The low end of the butterfly roof will create private bedroom spaces that are places of refuge. In the public portion of the house, the living and dining room will project off the top of the hill and point directly towards the mountains to capitalize on the views. Large windows will wrap around three sides and the butterfly roof will rise upwards to create a feeling of spaciousness.
